Frequently asked questions
Answers to what people ask most about cost, shipping time, and how we work.

What is "jastip" and how is it different from regular importing?
Jastip is a personal shopping service: we buy items on your behalf from overseas stores and ship them to Indonesia. Unlike commercial importing, it suits one-off or small purchases and does not require you to own a company or import licence. For large or recurring volumes we move you onto a proper import scheme with the right paperwork.
My card was declined by an overseas store, can you help?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people use us. You do not need an international credit card at all: pay us in Rupiah via local transfer and we settle with the overseas store.
Is there a minimum order?
No. We handle single items. Just note that the fewer items you ship, the higher the shipping share per unit, so consolidating several purchases into one shipment is usually much cheaper.
Do you serve corporate clients?
Yes. We regularly handle procurement of technical goods, heavy-equipment spares, and industrial components for companies, with formal invoicing, complete import documentation, and recurring supply arrangements. Get in touch to discuss a long-term setup.
Pricing & Payment 3
How is the total cost calculated?
We quote one all-in price covering the item, international shipping, all handling charges, our service fee, and delivery to your address. Nothing appears later, and you only pay after approving that quote.
When do I pay?
After you approve the quote. There is no upfront charge for submitting a request or asking for a price estimate, quoting is completely free.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Bank transfer, QRIS, and e-wallets. For larger or corporate purchases we can issue a formal invoice in your company name.
Shipping 4
How long will my shipment take?
It depends on origin and mode. Air freight from Asia typically takes 7-14 working days, from the US and Europe 14-21 working days, and sea freight 30-45 working days. The clock starts when goods reach our overseas warehouse and can shift slightly with airline schedules.
What if my goods are damaged or lost?
We photograph goods on arrival at our warehouse and again before dispatch. For high-value items we strongly recommend shipping insurance, the cost is small next to the risk. If damage occurs, an unboxing video from the recipient greatly helps the claim.
Why is shipping charged on volumetric weight?
Aircraft and vessels are limited by space, not just weight. Light but bulky items still consume capacity. The formula is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 5,000, and you are charged on whichever is greater: actual or volumetric weight.
How do I track my order?
Every request gets a unique code such as JA-2607-K3F9. Enter it with your email or WhatsApp number on the Track Order page to see live status, cost breakdown, and tracking number. We also email you whenever the status changes.
Legality & Permits 3
Which items cannot be imported?
We do not handle goods prohibited in Indonesia, narcotics and precursors, weapons and ammunition, explosives, counterfeit currency, or protected wildlife and plants. Others need permits: medicines, supplements, cosmetics and food via BPOM; telecom devices via SDPPI certification; and products requiring SNI marks. Check with us before ordering so your goods are not held.
Does the price include everything?
Yes. Our quote is all-in, it covers every cost up to delivery at your address. Once you approve it, nothing further is invoiced.
Do I need a company to import?
No. For reasonable personal purchases you do not need your own company or import licence. Just send the link or a description, we handle the rest, and the price we quote is all-in, delivered to your address.
